Corotop® ACTIVE CONTROL - is a vapour-proof product of the new generation like described above- active vapour-proof membrane applied as a vapour barrier on the inside of the roof system, from the attic side. It protects heat insulation against inflow of steam coming from the inside. Thanks to Corotop® ACTIVE CONTROL membrane application, the life of attic and roof system is improved. However, it should not be forgotten that the Corotop® ACTIVE CONTROL watertight membrane can only be used in case of applying the high vapour-permeable roof membrane under the roof cover.

Vapour-proof foils and membranes are widely applied in the roof and attic systems as the inside watertight layer of the system. It is to protect the roof heat insulation layer against dampness (present mainly in the form of steam) coming from the inside, i.e. from the rooms. Therefore, the vapour barrier prevents dampness of heat insulation and, consequently, enhances its thermal properties. The latest generation of vapour barriers are the so-called active vapour barriers with the diffusion resistance level enabling small steam exchange between the inside of the attic and the natural surroundings of the roof, preventing the so-called ”plastic bag effect.”
